What is an MAI Appraisal?
Posted by: | Comments
Technically, there is no such thing as an “MAI appraisal.” There are only appraisals performed by an appraiser who has completed the Appraisal Institute’s requirements for the Member of Appraisal Institute designation. The MAI designation, in my opinion, is the highest achievement that is available to an appraiser. Some might argue that other appraisal designations are as well respected, but if you review the requirements of each I think you will disagree. The details of what is required can be reviewed here:
APPRAISAL INSTITUTE – MAI REQUIREMENTS
The Columbia, SC office of Integra Realty Resources has three MAI designated appraisers including myself. The entire State of South Carolina only has 93 MAI’s. If we can help with your “MAI appraisal” needs, give us a call.
