The SCREnews.com website was created in the first quarter of 2008 as kind of an experiment. The goal was to provide a one-stop site to monitor real estate news in South Carolina. Well, that was over 2,000 posts, and 220,000 visitors ago…..and we are still going strong. The website is kind of a blog, but mainly a news oriented website. It is time-consuming to maintain the site. In fact, I spend 3 to 5 hours a week working on the website. Because of this time commitment, I decided to open the website up to advertisers, and create a Professional Directory.
You will notice that I occasionally promote my appraisal firm on the site, but I try not to promote them too much. If you don’t know, I am the Senior Managing Director of the Columbia and Greenville offices of Integra Realty Resources. Integra is the largest commercial appraisal firm in the country, with 67 offices. My offices can provide appraisal services across the State of South Carolina, including Columbia, Charleston, Greenville, Hilton Head Island and Myrtle Beach.
