Columbia Main Street Building Sold


The recently renovated commercial building at 1556 Main Street in Columbia has been sold for $1,530,000, according to Henry Roe of Colliers International, who represented the owner. The purchaser was 1556 M and T LLC, a company affiliated with Cohn Construction, and represented by Richard H. Cohn Sr.

Cohn confirmed today that his company has purchased the building as an investment, and is currently talking to several potential tenants, including some national companies. “We think we got the last great building on Main Street,” said Cohn.

The last sale price, according to the Richland County property records, was $715,000, and was it was last sold on May 12, 2011. The county listed the owner as SC 1556 Main LLC, represented by John F. Morgan Jr. of Bluffton.
