Greenville Tech to Develop New Campus

Greenville Technical College President Keith Miller said the school plans an “enterprise campus” to provide workforce training, research and development, and startup assistance for Upstate manufacturers.

The S.C. Legislature adopted a bill three years ago giving Greenville Tech the authority to establish a board to oversee development of the campus. Financing has not been secured.

Miller said the campus would be financed with a mix of public dollars and private support. Upstate manufacturers are working with vendors on donating equipment for an advanced machining center on the campus, he said. Miller said he hopes to have financing commitments in place in mid-spring to move forward on planning and developing the campus.
