Strong Interest in Columbia’s Bank of America Plaza

With the deadline for offers having passed, the sales agent for the Bank of America Plaza reports there has been strong interest among buyers in the 17-story office building.

Rob Stuart, of the Houston-based Transwestern Investment Sales Group, said the sale of the building is not complete, and declined to comment on any specifics of the transaction. “But we can report that interest in the offering was very strong due to the quality of the property and the Columbia market,” Stuart said.

Transwestern, which has its Southeast region office in Atlanta, issued a last call for offers on July 25.

The Class “A” office building was owned by Cooper Realty Investments of Rogers, Ariz., before being placed into receivership with Lincoln Harris, a Charlotte commercial real estate management firm.
