Apartments Planned for Greenville’s West End

If the city approves the design this Thursday, plans to build more residential apartments in Greenville’s West End will be under way. Lat Purser & Associates Inc. of Charlotte submitted an application for approval from the city’s Planning and Zoning Department.

The plans call for four floors and a projected 150 units, although the number of units could change. The four floors will sit above two floors of parking. The ground level will include the leasing office. “We saw an opportunity over there,” Lat Purser & Associates Project Manager Adam Purser said. “It’s a great side of town with the baseball field there and retailers. We think that’s the direction the city will grow.”

Two warehouses would have to be demolished at 107 Wardlaw St. and 2 Ferguson St. to build on the site at the corner of Rhett and Wardlaw streets. The current buildings are unfit for residential living conditions, according to the application.
