Rezoning Proposed for Former Bleachery Property

By

Rock Hill planning officials and property owners near the “Textile Corridor” have agreed on a zoning plan that could help prepare the way for developing the former Bleachery property and surrounding areas.

With the agreement, the City Council is being asked to rezone 52 acres near downtown from a heavy industry designation to a combination of industry business, neighborhood mixed use and single-family residential.

The affected areas include the Textile Corridor and areas from Main Street to east of White Street, between Columbia and Stewart avenues and a small area along North Wilson Street.
