Another sign that the deep freeze that has descended on the housing is lifting: One of the largest new multifamily developments proposed in Charleston since the real estate market tanked is planned on Daniel Island by an Alabama company.

The 270-unit project is slated for review by the city’s Commercial Corridor Design Review Board this week.

The development dubbed “Talison Row” calls for rental units spread over nine buildings. The roughly 13-acre site is at the end of Daniel Island Drive along the Cooper River Marsh.

The complex would include a clubhouse, pool and community garden, according to the plan submitted to Charleston’s Department of Planning, Preservation and Sustainability.
