At the end of the day, Greer has two viable health-care-related proposals for use of the former seven-acre Allen Bennett Memorial Hospital campus on Wade Hampton Boulevard, according to Mayor Pro Tem Wryley Bettis.

“We would like to see something in there immediately,” Bettis said.
But he said that financing is difficult in this economy, so immediate development may not work. However, a financing plan with a timeline would be required.
