Town of Blythewood Plans for Future Growth

As the town of Blythewood starts to firm up its 10-year growth plan, some residents in the countryside along Rimer Pond Road worry it will open the floodgates for commercial development.

The town’s new master plan sets out a strategy for preferred uses of land and, in the case of businesses, even building design.

Advocates say it’s a way to keep the historic Northeast Richland town – one of the fastest-growing towns in the state – from being overrun by development.
