Horry County is moving forward with big plans around the Myrtle Beach International Airport.

“We’ve got all four burners cooking now,” said county property manager Jim Papadea, who received word last week that the county transportation committee will give him $463,000 to help build the first phase of a 467-acre technology and aerospace park at the airport.

Also, county Councilman Gary Loftus and Robert Castles from Castles Engineering also were promised funding for projects on Harrelson Boulevard, which funnels traffic to the airport.
