New Myrtle Beach Boardwalk Spurs Plans at Pier

Work on the new Myrtle Beach boardwalk has barely begun, but downtown property owners already are jumping aboard with their own projects.

Teak Collins, whose family owns the Second Avenue Pier, the Lighthouse Motel and property surrounding them, went before the Myrtle Beach Planning Commission on Tuesday with a proposal to redevelop the property, creating a new parking and retail center.
