Myrtle Beach Recovery Seen In ’10

Obtaining financing continues to be a significant problem for commercial real estate buyers along the Grand Strand, but Realtors say they are seeing signs that the market is reaching the bottom.

There will continue to be empty retail space, shuttered restaurants and vacant land, but by fall 2010, there should be some improvement, Realtors and experts said.

“As a result of activity out there picking off these distressed properties, I believe there is reason to believe that sales volume can increase, sales prices can increase, and we’ve definitely bottomed out on vacancy rates,” said Stokes Graves, the president of Core Commercial.
