Homes Sales Slumped In July Following Five Months of Increases

Home sales in Greenville dipped in July, following steady increases in the five previous months, according to new data from the Greater Greenville Association of Realtors.

There were 589 homes sold during July, compared with 673 homes sold in June.

Sales also lagged year-ago figures by 21%. In June 2008, there were 746 home sales recorded.

Sales prices continue to refocus in a lower range. The median price of a house sold in July was $174,729, down 5.7% from $185,246 in July 2008.
