Five Points Walgreens Approved By Columbia Board of Zoning Appeals

By
I just heard that the Columbia Board of Zoning Appeals has approved a Walgreens drugstore for the old Kenny’s Auto site in Five Points. The Walgreens will be almost 14,000 square feet, well over the 10,000 square feet they were allowed to build without the special exception.

In my opinion, the original mixed use development planned for this site was well designed and should have been allowed. Oh well……

I agree. It should have. I have been folowing this project for quite a while. Columbia is really tough on these sorts of projects.
