Carolina Forest Park Plans Put On Hold

Developers asked to resolve objections to deal

A commercial developer who wants to build office and retail space along U.S. 501 will meet with two businesses from Carolina Forest before the county planning commission considers its plans.

The decision puts off for at least another month work on a new public recreation area in Carolina Forest.

LandBank LLC hopes to meet with the businesses to discuss their concerns about another commercial property opening in the area, Jeff Miller of Thomas and Hutton Engineering said at Thursday’s county planning commission meeting. Thomas and Hutton is working with LandBank and Sweet 16 LLC on the development.
