Plan OK’d For Proposed Simpsonville Movie Theater

Developers of a 14-screen movie theater complex along Interstate 385 in Simpsonville have received site plan approval from the city’s Planning Commission.

Local business leaders spoke in favor of the theater, saying it shows the city’s focus on developing its downtown.

The complex would be built between South Street and Industrial Drive next to the Garden District Apartment complex and just blocks from Cotton Mill Place, where local developer Tommy Moore is renovating the former Woodside cotton mill into live/work units and condominiums.
