Economy Delays Residential Project in Northern Greenville County

The residential community planned for a 1,700-acre timber farm in northern Greenville County is on hold as its developers deal with the nationwide slowdown in the real estate market.

Myrtle Beach-based Burroughs & Chapin, and The Silver Cos. of Washington and Boca Raton, Fla., under Tall Pines Investments, purchased the acreage off U.S. 27/State 11 and Moody Bridge Road in 2007 for $17.1 million.
