Cleveland Park getting more condos

More families will soon have the option of living next door to Greenville’s largest city park.

Construction is underway for phase two of Ridgeland At The Park, a luxury condominium community at the edge of the 126-acre Cleveland Park.

Developers broke ground on Ridgeland, formerly called Renaissance at the Falls, in late 2005.

The community consists of eight three-story buildings of single-level homes.

Three of the eight buildings in Ridgeland are complete. A fourth building will be ready for occupancy in the next two to three months, said Nelson Garrison, who along with Debi Garrison are the on-site sales managers.

Yeargin Potter Shackelford Construction of Greenville was selected for the new phase of work.

The community, with homes priced from the mid-$500s, overlooks Cleveland Park from its site off McDaniel Avenue.

Garrison said the community’s buildings offer the look and feel of a Southern home mansion.

Made of stone, Hardi plank and cedar, the buildings will have their own individual traditional architectural style reminiscent of old Greenville.

The homes are a minimum of 2,100-square feet. Each will contain a gas log fireplace, a 10 foot by 12 foot covered terrace, standard hardwoods in the common areas, granite counter tops, ceramic tiles in the bathroom, private garage, and more.

Each building will have its own private elevator and a security code required for entrance.

Garrison said the residences are also wired individually for security. And like the building’s common areas, each residence has a sprinkler system.

The community’s amenity, along with Cleveland Park, is its convenient access to downtown Greenville and its chief attractions.

Nine families currently live in Ridgeland. Eight more residences are under contract, Garrison said.

Ridgeland At The Park LLC is the community’s developer. Its principals include C. Dan Joyner, founder and president of Prudential C. Dan Joyner Realty, and his son, Danny Joyner.
